England - Yorkshire Dales to Lake District

A spiral staircase leads up the Marmion Tower to another room that no longer has a roof. The windows and fireplaces are all that remain. Noone from the Marmion family ever lived in this tower but they say that their manor house was destroyed and the materials reused by the neighbouring gentry.
